​        Working across painting, drawing, and photography,

I explore the interaction between the visual eye and the mind’s eye.

Color is dominent in all my work, for me form is a

vessel for color.

​

Based in Chautauqua County, NY, and Allegheny County, PA, my work is inspired by the region's landscapes, natural light, and reflections, especially along Chautauqua Lake and its surrounding countryside. 

  

My painting process blends a range of surfaces and mediums,

in particular oil, acrylic and mixed media.

On canvas, paper, wood, metal, found objects.

Content explores the impact of place,

of recollections, and the power of memory.

​Recent work includes paintings

on vintage mahogany skateboard blanks,

large-scale works on paper depicting

the lakeshore as experienced from the water,

and digital collages focused on the interaction of light and reflection.

My photography is informed by

the natural world, the mind's eye,

and the visual eye.

 

My intent is to explore the interplay between visual perception,

memory, and dreams through the study of light, reflection, and nature.
